You, as a future Telework Process Manager and your Telework introduction team, should anticipate the future technology and business trends in company collaboration. The current workplace definition is fragmented and evolutionary:

HOME OFFICE, REMOTE WORK, HYBRID HOME OFFICE, DIGITAL NOMAD, WFA …

These (not clearly defined) concepts are implicitly:

• related mainly to the place of the work relative to the classic in-house location.
• applicable mainly for classical office administration workers ( "white collars outsourcing only")

Our future-proof Workplace definition:

The TeleWorkPlace is a matrix of data assigned to each teleworker entity (TWE) registered in the Company collaboration entity list. The rows of the matrix for each TWE contains:

TWE is the actor of the collaboration. Not only a human person !. (In the near future also a robot, bot, IoT module, etc.)

Entity profile name (EPN): the unique name of the matrix row data set assigned to TWE. For typical human profile examples please read the Module M2 assignment template sheet B. Simply saying, TWAE can have several options (Profile names) for accessing the collaboration space assets (content) and services.

Location data: geographical locations (preferably defined informal rules) from where the TWE can access to collaboration space of the Company

Time data: Date and time intervals when this profile access is enabled for the TWE.

Device data: specification of device(s) (device type, security SW on device or IP address, etc.)

Other Criteria: additional specific conditions (rules) enabling the TWE access (e.g. TWE must be a company manager, age above X years, etc.)

This is a generic and structured definition of the workplace, which can be implemented on different levels of complexity depending on the importance of the collaboration space and assets.
